Invocation to Strengthen and Heal the World
“As my weeks of silent sheltering in place continue, I realize no place can shelter us from feeling the straining hearts of all humanity as we seek the inner and outer resources to rise together beyond our present limitations and suffering. Even though many of us remain physically apart from the world, we have the opportunity to observe within how inseparably entwined we are and appreciate the possibilities that may grow from greater awareness and understanding of this inner networked union and human totality. Today as numbers and cases continued to both rise and fall, words came out of my emptiness like gilded gifts of hope; an invocation to help strengthen and heal the world. Like a perfect ray of sun, it penetrated the “virus cloud” and reminded me that the creative forces of life remain intact and that we must all look deeper now within ourselves to find those rays of life and light and reflect them out onto the world. Invocation to Strengthen and Heal the World
May we be protected and work together/ with great energy, intelligence and open hearts.
May our research be vigorous and effective, giving more time to life, time to wake, to restart.
May we not find cause for war again or let ideals divide.
May this virus be the final lesson/ on how easily selfish motives destroy.
May awareness now expand/ where senses kept us blind and bound.
May separateness dissolve within/ where our cosmically networked nature resounds.
May vision born of inner sight, a future free of darkness seal.
May union with our highest self/ bear knowledge to which all suffering yields.
May we know only peace and healing in/ the radiance of our human totality.
May only Light and Consciousness act/ upon us and through us eternally.
