MENLA: Waking the Healer Within

Introducing the first in a series of New Works by Deborah Goudreault and new insights from an Artist devoted to recovering Nature’s concealed identity.

There is a connection within which engages the potential of a more empowered, universally networked human totality. It is a connection that may yet be unfelt, or beyond our seeing, but is never absent. We may either choose to let it sleep or wake the force of it and devote ourselves to integrating its Energy and Cosmic Intelligence for purifying, harmonizing and evolving the self. Sometimes through our well-developed physical senses and outer focused intellect, the answers we seek seem to necessarily exist outside us. However, even our most advanced externally derived knowledge of Nature and the self remains limited; our thoughts, words and actions a source of disharmony and disease if we are without understanding of the inner technology that networks the self with its unlimited Source Intelligence and capacity. The MENLA Collection is dedicated to awakening new awareness of our individual responsibility in the eradication of disease and suffering, and to illuminating the causal relationship between suffering as a universal condition and the need for a more unlimited conception and experience of our human totality. MENLA’s impressions of a convergent reality provoke curiosity and questions about the subtle dimensions of Nature and our own human nature, and create a space for us to wonder, beyond conditioned reason, about the dormant potential of our human totality, and our habit of reaching outside ourselves rather than within to fulfill our desire for a more sustainable and unlimited source of energy and intelligence.

MENLA brings us to the threshold of a path of human evolution that increases regeneration rather than degeneration. It is a cosmic mirror of a pure, harmonious, and multi-dimensional existence where the subtle energizing and elevating aspects of matter are no longer handicapped by the limits of their dense outer forms. It conceives of matter as having a nature of energy and frequency as well as form, and that to transcend suffering and make within ourselves a pure land, we must cross a bridge between the planes of earth and ether; the material and the immaterial, to where our universally networked human totality and Cosmic Source Energy and Intelligence meet. MENLA’s images carry us on such a journey beyond the finite boundaries of Nature, where healing forces manifest in constant streams of Light; focusing the radiance of solar and lunar energies in channels which open the Self to an experience of its more perfect and potentiated wholeness. It is a journey of visualization and realization of a universally networked cosmic Resource; a luminous, vivid, insubstantial and omniscient Force through which we may purify our body, feelings, and thoughts, cultivate the capacity to heal, and experience and project a more harmonized and empowered presence.

MENLA furthers a redefinition of healing as an endeavor that necessarily goes beyond pharmacological innovations, medical/surgical interventions, current psychology, and genetic engineering. Through impressions of Nature, it projects the experience of a deeper and more permanently transformative process. A process of purifying and harmonizing the self by integrating the unacknowledged inner technology, instruments and faculties of our multidimensional human totality, and opening the flow of more infinite potential universally networked within our finite human form. We are more than physical, and to heal involves an individual responsibility to expand and refine one’s experience of the self. It requires us to become whole in an awareness of who we are that is no longer limited by an exclusively finite human identity. The MENLA Collection is a call to awaken the power of the omniscient healer as an innate human potential; to access the infinite Source of radiant Energy and cosmic Intelligence networked within the self. It is a call for us to become the medicine; the unimpeded flow of clear Light which releases the power of our multidimensional human totality and evolves, refines and heals until toxicity, disease and suffering never again characterize our human or planetary condition. As each MENLA image challenges and expands the mind’s conditioned conceptions of Nature and the nature of the self, it seeds and nurtures a more unlimited reality in which the Light dispelling darkness and suffering in all humanity is inexhaustible.

Point of Conception: The MENLA Collection was conceived downstream from the Menla Retreat Center in upstate NY during the naturally high contrast light of the August 21,2017 solar eclipse. It was as the midday’s sun slowly disappeared behind the diffusely darkening veil of the moon, when all was devoured by shadows and only the power of Sun’s halo remained unobliterated and unconquerable. As the Sun’s arc-line passed over, it seemed to bless all that it touched. It revealed new, unconceived of dimensions in the plants, stones and river within my gaze, and in myself too, as if all that was limiting was magnetized and drawn up through that dark void into the circle of Light. For that few minutes of what astronomers call “totality”, it was as if all that was ordinary; every conditioned perception and even breath itself had stopped and all life stood pure, dimensionless and perfectly harmonized in the network of a greater existence. Work continued into the following day when like chasing the sound of a train as it fades into the distance, I pursued the diminishing impressions left by the eclipse; the rare attunement of Cosmic Energy and Intelligence vibrating in every element of nature and dissolving in time. The MENLA Collection enshrines the frequency of the August 21 eclipse as well as that of the Medicine Buddha matrixed throughout the Catskills; a continuous wave generated by devotional chanting and meditation in Buddhist centers there and magnified by the celestial alignment.

I do not wish to debate or perpetuate any religious ideas, rather share the perception that what we have considered intangible external Gods are omniscient conduits to universal Energy and Cosmic Intelligence, operating as magnifying, condensing, conducting, and atomizing points for the transfer of Cosmic Energy and Intelligence via the universal network of Nature and the Self. To awaken the Inner Healer, we must understand our purpose as vehicles of exchange and that these Forces wait in silence to be opened and brought to life in our own being, to slowly erode our limiting patterns and resistivity to advancing the self as a healthy, whole, and radiant expression of Cosmic Energy and Intelligence.

Whatever spiritual or scientific path one has been drawn to as entry into a greater experience of the Self, MENLA reflects a Nature shaped by that Force which they all embody and emanate from; a Force which pervades all fields of existence with the saatvic qualities of Light, purification and preservation integral to the process of healing and expanding our experience of our infinitely evolving nature and capacity. Healing is a process of understanding and accessing more of the unbound space of our human totality. MENLA offers a space where we are inspired and given the courage to explore the possibility of a wholeness which opens the boundaries of the self.

Many spiritual Teachers have shared the experience that if one meditates on the Medicine Buddha, Sangye Menla, Bhaisayaguru, Vishnu, Christ, or other conduits of Cosmic Energy and Intelligence, one may experience an increase in healing abilities both for oneself and others, a decrease in physical and mental illness, and an enhanced level of compassion and understanding. The potential to transcend suffering is within us and the MENLA Collection champions the unlimited nature of a humanity whose devotion is given not just to external Gods, but to opening the inner flow of universally networked Energy and Intelligence they are projections of. When we chant a specific mantra or visualize the energy of Cosmic Intelligence in an embodied form in Nature, it is to open an energetic portal within the subtle dimensions of the self, so the download of Energy and its transformative effects become possible. Such practices open connections to our own infinite, wireless energy nature, a primordial awareness of our multidimensional, universally networked Self, and the potential to increasingly process the Energy and Consciousness of our human totality for healing and refining all dimensions of ourselves and others.

MENLA’s liberating impressions and all streams of meditative practice work similarly and synergistically to dissolve limiting thoughts, and advance a wholeness of being beyond the attachments, anger, fear and half-knowledge to which our past patterns and physical sensory perception have kept us bound. As projections of a pure and more unlimited experience that reaches beyond conditioned physical senses, MENLA offers Collectors something more transformational to hold present in their personal and professional homes and within themselves; keys to becoming purer, more luminous and unlimited in their own potential. One must climb to great heights, over mountains of conditioned mass conceptions, to find the materials with which to build a healthy, wholly integrated body and mind, whose balance, strength, and actions reflect the great un-accessed potential of our human totality. MENLA and all Light Mind Images offer such materials, translating a tangible experience of Nature where greater mysteries, greater freedoms, and unfathomed potential wait to reshape us in a new totality of being. And as we immerse ourselves in such materials, we become less bound by the weight and inertia of limiting assumptions and increase our power to receive and transmit in our thoughts, words and actions, that which enhances rather than depletes our capacity for refining and healing our inner and outer conditions. They translate an experience of inclusive transcendence where viewers are challenged to excel beyond the limits of physical sensory perception and conditioned preconceptions and discovers a connection through Nature, and ultimately our own human nature, to a universally networked Matrix of infinite Energy and Cosmic Intelligence within the Self.

ARTIST’S NOTE: May all humanity endeavor to open the Light within which refines the mind and heals and makes whole the Self as a vehicle for the exchange of infinite Energy and Intelligence.

Note: MEN-LA translates as the Healing Teacher or Guru; that which helps us cultivate a state of expanded awareness, more wholly integrated human totality, and frees us from suffering and disease by transforming the afflictive thoughts, feelings and physical conditions which cause us to suffer. It is the Artist’s desire that archival prints of these images serve as instruments of that Energy in the lives of its Collector’s and Viewers.
