INFINETS: Opening our Perception of Space

Introducing the next in a series of New Works by Deborah Goudreault exploring the infinite unity of space and why opening our connection to it is so compelling.

“Space is not only above us and around us; space is within us and surrounds us.” -Tarthang Tulku

“Open space and we open the borders of the self, redefine space and we redefine the self.” -Deborah Goudreault

The desire to discover new dimensions of space may seem a purely abstract or intellectual endeavor to some, but this increasing desire is an elemental stimulus for human evolution and an essential force which awakens in us the will to advance. How far we progress individually and collectively has much to do with how openly we respond to this desire, our understanding of the relationship between material forms and space, and how readily and adeptly we accommodate a more unlimited, multidimensional, universally networked perception of space. With an ordinary view of space, conditioned by the narrow lens of our outer directed physical senses, we may only seek to fulfill this desire through external endeavors. However, we are ourselves a vast, multidimensional universally networked space, and even though our focus on outer material forms and a deeply imbedded conception of the self as fixed and finite can block our view of it, this desire to pursue new vistas is primarily a dynamic and compelling drive to open new dimensions of the space within us.  It exists not just to vitalize an expanding experience of outer space, but as a guide to an inner realm of subtle energy infrastructure and knowledge for refining the mind and our experience of the self, for transforming the boundaries of our human identity, and advancing what constitutes our reality. It is a primordial impetus leading us not only to the stars, but to the door of a new human totality in which we can operate with greater awareness, freedom, perception and harmonizing potential.

Regardless of how far we push the boundaries of space travel, the longer we are unable to recognize our desire for a more unbound space of being as the call of emerging Consciousness, the more we will feel an increasing sense of restriction, confinement, and threat.  Despite our perceived divisions and individual outer forms, we exist in a state of Infinite Totality whose unending evolution demands a constant reconfiguration and expansion of our experience of space, and our ability to access and empower the unexplored space, energies and potentialities of the Self. Some may interpret taking a shuttle to Mars as meeting this demand, but that only changes the distance in which we operate. Our understanding of the workings of nature outside us is as limited or unlimited as our understanding of the universally networked nature of the self and the space in which we operate our human totality.  Space is indeed the platform for prime Intelligence, but not when we think of it as a physical object or even as a subtle container for more dense forms. What if it was more than a medium in which we exist and transit through time and distance. What if it carried the primordial elements through formulations of sound and energy into equations of matter like breath carries life force and blood distributes nutrients through our physical bodies.  What if like nebulae are the wombs of stars, it is the womb in which every dimension of formlessness and form is created, preserved and transformed. What if it is a living vehicle through which Cosmic Energy and Intelligence are communicated and expressed in an infinite unity and multidimensional network of evolving manifestation.  At the very root of our desire for a more unlimited experience of space is a challenge to overcome the influence of a separate object-linear distance-based perspective, and to reorient ourselves and our focus from dense to more subtle dimensions of our inner as well as outer space. As long as this challenge is misinterpreted as one of overcoming linear space, we will continue to live as prisoners of the limited human identity and reality we are rapidly outgrowing within. Apart from all the deserved glory attributed to our outer advancements, we will remain like adolescents who have grown into adults but insist on wearing the same clothes, even though they are restrictive and worn, because they have yet to realize larger sizes exist.

We do not need more photographs of humanity suffering in societies across the planet to see how many people that despite the continued flood of information and technologies intended to support their intensifying desire to expand their experience, are still burdened with a perceived lack of freedom, time and space to advance. We do not have to look far to see those responding with growing confusion, fatigue, imbalance, anger, anxiety, fear, and conflict. Left unaddressed as an accepted cost of advancement, we watch hope slowly die in those using alcohol, drugs, and violence as futile attempts to adapt to these feelings and change their inner experience at some comparable rate. We are all affected as these reactions to an exclusively outer based expansion bind humanity to a ball and chain of inner inertia which obstructs the very progress we are seeking.  Others acting to free themselves from the limits of their external space are choosing to adapt through phenomena like mass international migration, relocation from urban to more remote areas in closer connection with Nature, extreme skyscraper architecture, accelerated work in interplanetary space travel, mining and terraforming new planets, and the proliferation of the Internet and technological innovations which transcend long held boundaries. While these actions temporarily relieve some perceived outer limits and advance us in relation to the space we can physically inhabit or explore, where they do not change our basic perception of space or bring us closer to permanently transcending the limits of what we know of the self, we eventually find ourselves still bound by a more complex configuration of complications.

Expansion is essential to the fulfillment of our desire for a more open experience of space and human totality, yet when it is focused exclusively in one direction rather than inclusively, what seems apparent progress is not necessarily synonymous with human advancement. The irony and polarity of the context we now face is that while we advance technologically in ways we have never before conceived of in known history, our focus on unlimited material advancement, while expanding our capacity via mechanical technologies, remains blind to the unlimited potential dormant within the space of our own universally networked being, and because of this can perpetuate continued conflict and suffering even as it tries to free us.  The energy and capacity to excel and move from our past limited state to the more expansive desired state of being vibrating at the core of our being can only be generated within. The ability to excel under the pressures of a rapidly transforming outer existence requires opening our perception of the space and potentialities of the Self. Where experience of our inner space remains unmodified and resolute within a human identity of fixed boundaries, and our experience of the space outside us shifts as an effect of outer advancements, there will exist a platform for more complex challenges and instability. Many fearing the consequences of more unlimited global access and fading external boundaries now find themselves setting up even more strict individual and collective boundaries and investing greater amounts of energy in protecting and defending these boundaries. Think the great wall debates proposed to separate Mexico and the US, the increase in home security systems, personal weapons armaments, and our immersion in video games where if we feel vulnerable in our physical world we can control and conquer the space of virtual worlds. Attempts to overcome the limits of long imbedded outer boundaries and to discover new space outside us when pursued without a balancing and harmonizing inner effort to expand the perceived limits of the space of the self, can create a kind of vacuum in which resistance to change is amplified. We may recognize this resistance as doubting our potential for expanding freely and securely beyond the limits of the past, or the mind’s resistance to escaping the ignorance of a fixed and finite perception in which it is necessary for the self to compete and dominate to survive.

Exceeding what we perceive to be the limits of our external space may be temporarily freeing, although it does not guarantee greater understanding of either the totality of space or the space of our own human totality. Eventually it too binds us in its graduated limits and another cycle of resistance and dis-ease. If we continue to assume that we ourselves and the Earth are limited, and the only thing that is not is our vision of outer space and technology, we are creating a chasm of eventual devolution not the permanent advancement every one of us is drawn to realize. Without a new conception of space which bridges this conditioned divide and makes us whole in the potentiating energies and intelligence of our human totality, we may evolve technologically, but in the shadow of a growing view of Earth and our own bodies as partners who have let us down or betrayed us, further adding to the list of enemies we are conditioned to fight against with weapons of technology, drugs, or any means of escape we believe can eventually dominate or help control them. We can bury ourselves in outer pursuits and outer escapes and let this remain our course, leaving our true potential buried too, like a relic to be discovered in some future time, or we can become the bridge now and emissaries of the force which rebalances our focus and builds a stable, secure, wholistic foundation for permanent human advancement. To understand, access, and excel in new dimensions of inner and outer space, our capacity to perceive and accommodate needs to transcend the historic dominance and boundaries of physical forms, and not undervalue the significance of the subtle unexplored dimensions in the form closest to us; the self.

We may not immediately change the negative feelings or destructive actions of others, but we can begin to alleviate our present condition of inner pressure and realign ourselves with a new sense of our humanity which no longer fortifies the conditioned boundaries we gave power over us in the past. The Nature of existence cannot be dominated as if it were a separately existing finite object, or even a more subtle energy or force. However, it can be harmonized through harmonizing the self, and this begins by opening our perception and conception of space and redefining it as that which permeates both our human form and outer existence, and where what appears finite is also infinitely networked. Once we expand our definition of space, we will be more open to accessing the space within and researching and evolving subtle inner technologies and practices for integrating more of our human totality and potential.  Intellectually opening our understanding of space will not only help break the frame of our past conceptions of outer space, it will make accessing and interacting with the subtle human operating system and interfacing dimension of space within more conceivable and ultimately perceivable. In this way redefining space will help redefine the self and integrating ourselves as space will help us integrate the subtle dimensions of our totality; where more unlimited Cosmic Energy, Intelligence and capacity wait to give birth to a new human identity. When we open the mind to an experience of everything existing in a universally networked space, where no space, object or individual is finite or discretely isolated from the universal network of all existence, we will no longer feel the pressure and dis-ease of Consciousness sounding against our outer limits, wave after wave, confronting our resistance and transforming our mode of perception with the weight it now bears upon us. As mainstream thought is elevated and unbound by a new conception of space, all disciplines too will be elevated in alignment with the understanding that outer transformation is seeded not just by intellect and its outer projections in physical science and technology, but by opening the blocked boundaries of our human totality.

While we now endeavor to expand humanity’s interactions in interplanetary space, it is even more critical that we expand our understanding and experience of the space of Earth and our own human totality, so whatever life we engage beyond Earth can be met with greater awareness and understanding of our universally networked nature and shared purpose, rather than as adversaries competing for resources and defending boundaries within a finite system. We can reach Mars, the stars, we can reach everything but to do it successfully, we cannot carry our limited view of reality into any space, inner or outer.  Neither can we continue to embody and transport the destructive scarcity premise that is symptomatic of it; in which we are lacking the conditions and resources we need to survive or must conquer another space and its inhabitants to have what we need. While we imagine the possibilities of being dominated by another nation or becoming the enslaved race of an extraterrestrial beings, we ourselves remain enslaved by our fixed and finite perception of the Self. The best new Earth and interstellar defense system we can plan is not to terraform and arm other planets with our most advanced weaponry in the image of our present Earth, but to expand the perceived limits and conditioned boundaries of our own human form, integrate more of our multidimensional universally networked human totality and pursue a more balanced alignment of the space race with consciously evolving the human race. We are destined to evolve and expand our experience beyond all past boundaries including those of Earth but let us not remain fixed on that horizon alone. Our expansion into outer space is not driven purely by physical survival instincts, but something much deeper, the will of the self to know all dimensions in the space of our universally networked human totality.  We assume the next giant leap of humanity is colonizing Mars. Whether or not we also pursue a deeper, parallel exploration of the space within will determine if this is just a leap in location or founded on the more unlimited flow of energy, awareness and intelligence opened by a leap in Consciousness. If rather than closing ourselves off within the conventional boundaries of our nations and ourselves, we instead practice an opening of our inner experience and perception beyond our conditioned physical sensory limits, we will discover new dimensions of space both inside and outside us; realms with more vast potentialities than the atom. We will also find the anxiety and frustration we feel in confronting conditioned limits and the seeming void of new dimensions will be eased, and with it much of our disease and conflict. In more subtle exploration of the space within; the unnavigated frontiers of our human totality and the INFINET of our being, we will find our own “motherboard” waiting for us to “plug in” and a new energy system for refining the self and our capacity to relate more sensitively and effectively with ourselves, with others, the Nature of Earth and beyond.

It is in this context that the INFINETS Collection brings light, inspiration and hope to humanity’s search for new dimensions of space and freedom from the fixed and finite limits of our human identity, as the seed of a more integrative awareness wells up inside us, and the energy and intelligence to which we are innately networked as Consciousness begins to resonate in a frequency we can relate to. INFINETS does not presume to offer an experience of “the whole”, however it delivers us to a tangible space beyond ordinary conception and offers new reference points which transcend the conditioned boundaries of material forms and bring us closer to the unlimited and universally networked nature of space and how we may fulfill our compelling desire to open our connection to it. It is not a collection of glamorous imaginings or the reveries of unconscious mind.  INFINETS translates a totality of space, reflected through natural phenomena, where nothing is exclusive and everything exists in a perfectly matrixed INFINET of cosmic Source Energy and Intelligence. INFINETS, like all Light Mind Images, may be viewed on one level as Fine Art, but are also preparatory influences; impressions of a more unlimited and unconditioned space, which support the mind in its efforts to evolve, to open the perceived boundaries of our human totality, and to realize more of our universally networked human potential.

May your experience of INFINETS guide you toward greater openness, capacity, and Light.
