SKULL ORACLE: Advancing a Human Form with Cosmic Dimensions
Introducing Deborah Goudreault’s SKULL ORACLE ; the next in a series of New Works and new insights from an Artist devoted to recovering Nature’s concealed identity and the totality of a universally networked Self.
“We are not only mortal beings in finite physical forms. We are death conquerors and boundaryless time-space transcenders; multidimensional universally networked beings with the subtle anatomy and innate capacity to access Source Field Energies and Cosmic Intelligence in an ever-expanding experience of the unlimited potential of our human totality. We are a universe within the Universe, a matrix within the Matrix, a consciousness within the Consciousness, and the Network of which all our outer technological networks are a raw approximation.” -Deborah Goudreault SKULL ORACLE
“In a world escalating into increasingly complex forms, it is only a more complex and wholly integrated experience of the self which will harmonize and enlighten our progress. If we discover the Light within the Self, everything in the world will reflect it.”- Deborah Goudreault SKULL ORACLE
“For those facing the difficulties of a rapidly transforming outer culture with doubt, cynicism, lost faith, or who await the worst in the world, SKULL ORACLE reflects what is behind the apparent darkness; the dawn preparing even in the darkest hours of night, and it heralds the coming of that Light. It encourages us to commit and persist in seeking it within, for whatever scope of darkness we face can only be permanently illumined by opening the self in its totality and giving the unlimited awareness and potential that has been dead to the mind, breath to live.” -Deborah Goudreault SKULL ORACLE
About SKULL ORACLE: Acknowledging the Cosmic Self
With penetrating intensity and directness, SKULL ORACLE embodies Deborah Goudreault’s inner sensed experience of a human form with cosmic dimensions. With an eye which perceives what might seem to be a prophecy of future evolution beyond our grasp, she translates a presently existing reality where essential Nature transcends the physical boundaries of separate objects and we too are much more than the mortal prisoners of finite physical forms. As if uncovering a long buried sacred gem, SKULL ORACLE peels away the flesh of the physical self and unmasks the entrance to a realm where we are death conquerors and boundaryless time-space transcenders; multidimensional universally networked beings with the subtle anatomy and innate capacity to access Cosmic Energies and Intelligence in an ever-expanding experience of the unlimited potential of our human totality. As SKULL ORACLE delivers an impression of the Nature behind what objects appear to be, lines, harmonies, dispositions, and relationships emerge, not as we know them, but from a world of matter existing within a luminous multidimensional context that would otherwise be lost to our surface sight. Hers is a transmuting kind of vision, powered by an evolving awareness of the self as a universe within the Universe, a matrix within the Matrix, a consciousness within the Consciousness, and part of the Network of which all our outer technological networks are a raw approximation. The more we relate to the images in SKULL ORACLE, the more we find a space in them to observe and transform our fears and misconceptions about life as humans. The longer we focus on them, the more we confront the conditioned boundaries of our human identity and consider that perhaps we are not built merely as physical forms or to contain emotions and chase the same desires over and over again like a cat chasing its tail. Perhaps we are not here to function as memory and sensory data storage banks, as slaves of a mind forever stealing our stillness and silence, or an ego which makes a mockery of ourselves and others. Out of what may at first seem SKULL ORACLES’s foreboding emptiness, arises a reflection not of a familiar self or a departed one, but an interfacing dimension radiating between the physical and the non-physical. Even if we have never had a mindful moment in our lives or contemplated a meditative journey in search of greater self-awareness and potential, SKULL ORACLE invites us each to share in the alternate reality of a pure, exalted, noble, and graceful Light opening within the self. It invites us to come together to realize the potential of a humanity with the keys to integrate all dimensions of our human totality and the power of mind, retuned by a more Infinite Intelligence, to serve the restoration of our character, commitment, contentment, dignity and divinity. It is not what SKULL ORACLE strips from our patterned self-illusions or how far it deviates from our ordinary aesthetic and historic symbolism that gives it unique value, but what it makes room for and fills us with. It does not just transport us, it transforms us with a visual conception of the Self within the self as a networked vehicle of interdimensional exchange, with the capacity to receive higher and higher frequency energies and transmit them in our thoughts, words and actions as co-creators and harmonizing forces in an infinitely evolving and sublimely elevating existence. For all those searching for conceptions and experiences of greater human totality, Goudreault’s impressions are not just story telling but life propelling, and avatars of an Intelligence that stirs and inspires. In a fast world where so little is worthy of prolonged consideration, SKULL ORACLE stops the conditioned treadmill of the mind and reopens us to discover more of the Infinite nature of the Self.
Why Now?
SKULL ORACLE manifests at a time when, despite our innate universally networked human potential, most still identify with a physical human operating system programmed by our conditioned minds, functioning solely on its own (like a computer “mainboard”) with limited additional expansion capability. Our vision and desires continue to expand, yet we have pushed the finite dimension of our bodies and minds to their limits, and Earth as well, to the point of vital energy depletion, imbalance, toxicity and dis-ease. We are a humanity desperately seeking self-expansion through outer technological advancement, implanting AI, and building fields of virtual mechanical reality to inhabit, while the power to non-mechanically evolve our human identity and reality lies dormant within. The age has come, however, when nothing can remain hidden, and more and more will discover the inner technologies to experience that what we are conditioned to identify as the self is only a subsystem of a multidimensional human totality, designed to evolve and excel through our innate interface with something akin to a “Motherboard”, not independent of it as we have existed in the past. Gradually we will begin to realize that all the outer technology we create is an attempt to manifest the potential and capacity of the inner energy network and interfacing system we have yet to optimize but resonates within the human totality of each of us. We will come to recognize that it calls us in continuous waves, even when unheard and unfelt, to create outer representations of it, not so we may compensate for a limited self, but to understand more of our unlimited human potential. SKULL ORACLE is both an entrance and an introduction to this dimly lit subliminal whole of our being. Where it is unknown, we may feel an initial resistance, but as SKULL ORACLE challenges our preconceptions, we are given an opening to connect with and gradually give way to a deeper will to know and evolve the self. Where its images of Nature do not stop at the conditioned boundaries of perception and form, they confirm, encourage, and strengthen the force of our own inner experiences of a more potentiated self.
Closing the Gap Between Inner and Outer Advancement
We can temporarily expand the capacity of our physical human operating system through dependence on outer compensatory technologies, but to expand our human potential beyond its conditioned limits and resolve the inner and outer disharmony and suffering which characterizes our current existence, we must open our innate connections to the “Motherboard” of universally networked Energy and Cosmic Intelligence. Without accessing this inner opening, and following instead the conditioned notion of its unattainability, we leave ourselves no choice but to endeavor to fulfill our desire for more infinite intelligence and expanded connectivity by advancing artificial intelligence as an immediately tangible substitute. The wider the gap or imbalance between outer technological advancement and inner human expansion and integration, however, the more outer technologies will reflect their self-defeating shadow side, and for all their benefits further ingrain the limits and exploit the weaknesses of a humanity which, without outer technological appendages, remains bound to an exclusively separate and localized identity.
Outer technologies guarantee the continued transformation of how we live, and unconsciously reflect the technology of our own being, but they cannot connect us to the inner network of our human totality. They cannot complete us, and neither can they compensate long term for our misconception of the totality of who we are. Whether or not developers are currently aware of it, theirs is not just the work of technological innovation. As well as efforts to fast track new answers and break the code of recurring human challenges, they are creating a means for an outer directed world to begin to conceive of and grasp the multidimensional network of our own human totality. Outer technology itself is not the ultimate answer, rather like a pill that temporarily alleviates surface symptoms and can illuminate, but not address the root cause. Outer technologies offer the invaluable catalyzing potential of opening time and space for more efficient resource use and focused human development, but for outer technology to have a harmonizing effect on humanity, not just a transformational one, we must focus equally on developing and implementing inner technologies for networking the self and becoming more universally empowered creators. From within our physical operating system we must learn to Login and download more of the unlimited capacity of the Cosmic “Motherboard”; discover and activate the microarchitecture of our multidimensional being and the subtle path interconnect that allows for our continuous upgradability, higher functioning, expanding awareness, and reverence for our inseparable relationship to each other and the network of all being.
We can continue to pressure the already strained finite mind and physical operating system of the self, relying increasingly on outer technologies to expand our capacity and draw nearer our vision of a wholly integrated self. Yet while this may serve us temporarily and is the accepted foundation of future economic viability and strategic dominance, even outer technology will not be enough to elevate our individual and collective future. Technology will enter its golden age in true service to humanity when new technological answers to problems are developed with greater knowledge of their matrix of impact. Their contribution will be a wholly harmonizing one when new technologies for reaching farther, moving faster and enhancing outer connectivity, while offering functional efficiencies and guaranteeing continued market expansion, respond to rather than synthetically override the reach of our evolving inner connectivity. If artificial intelligence and social networking continue to occupy our focus to the neglect of contact with our inner network of cosmic Energy and Intelligence, we will see change, but the potential of our human totality will lie dormant and the self, lacking the energy and integrity of its wholeness, will likely continue to operate in a state of dis-ease and conflict.
We are at a critical juncture of human advancement whose outcome relies not solely on the innovative progress of outer technologies and physical manifestations, but on our ability to network all dimensions of our human totality. We feel something pressing us to be more, but it is not something we can grasp with eyes fixed externally or make digitally. The capacity to excel and evolve beyond past limits, waits not solely in the technology at our fingertips or the far reaches of our solar system, but in the seeming dark corners of the self, the black holes of our inner being, the subtle vortices and universal network through which flows the power to evolve a human totality of infinite potential, radiance and intelligence, with a will to elevate not abase and to refine not erase. Will what we create be driven and curated by conditioned physical senses, finite mind, unrefined egos and fear, or a stream of Cosmic Intelligence that evolves mind, intellect and perception and brings to every human endeavor the light of our greatest human potential? Will what we make be the sole determinant of what we make of ourselves? We can continue to accept the perceived limits of an exclusively finite human identity and empower AI as the upgraded replacement for the finite aspect of the human mind, in which case we remain the enslaved captives of a nonintegrated subsystem of our human totality. Or we can blow the frame of our separate, finite, one dimensional reality, and begin the process of networking the self and integrating the infinite cosmic Energy and Intelligence we are designed to receive and project for the preservation, upliftment and enrichment of our shared human existence.
SKULL ORACLE comes to make sure we do not sleep through this choice, lulled by the familiarity and false security of past patterns, or mesmerized by the social, political and economic power and control to be gained through technological dominance. It joins us at the threshold of the great wisdom and experience that awaits beyond our finite preconceptions of a solely physical existence. Its purpose is not to provoke fear or pose theories about our inevitable transition beyond our human forms, rather to open new streams of curiosity, hope, understanding, and power over the limited human identity which now binds our potential and sustains our fears. It is not a portrayal of what our physical bodies become in death, but a stimulus for waking the undiscovered potential of our human totality in life. SKULL ORACLE rides atop the endless waves of creation and destruction in matter, calling humanity to evolve as purifying and harmonizing forces in the play of Nature rather than that which magnifies the inevitable chaos and waste of destruction. It challenges us to abandon the preconception of an exclusively phenomenal reality, and to open the mind to energies beyond our conditioned, outer focused experience. It points us toward an inner bridge of unlimited ascendance, using Light like a lighthouse to mark the path to the shore of our own enlightenment; a journey through inner depths as vast as the universe itself whose potential is ours to discover in life, not just imagine as the mythical reward of death. As Light still radiates through its open portals; the symbolic space of once eyes, ears, nose and mouth, SKULL ORACLE invites us to enter the seeming dark caverns of the self and Login to the inner network of universal Energies and Cosmic Intelligence waiting to empower and advance our human totality. It calls us to dissolve the masks, labels and personalities that distort and hide the totality of our human operating system, and birth within us a new perception. It is a cry to burn away and purify all that keeps us from integrating the higher dimensions of the self, the most precious of which resonate in, and are protected by, our own skulls. Where we have become impervious to what is beyond the physically sensed world and allowed ourselves to remain enclosed and separate from our multidimensional human totality, SKULL ORACLE says, “In a world escalating into increasingly complex forms, it is only a more complex and wholly integrated experience of the self which will harmonize and enlighten our progress. If we discover the Light within the Self, everything in the world will reflect it.” For those facing the difficulties of a rapidly transforming outer culture with doubt, cynicism, lost faith, or who await the worst in the world, SKULL ORACLE reflects what is behind the apparent darkness; the dawn preparing even in the darkest hours of night, and it heralds the coming of that Light. It encourages us to commit and persist in seeking it within, for whatever scope of darkness we face can only be permanently illumined by opening the self in its totality and giving the unlimited awareness and potential that has been dead to the mind, breath to live.
Unlocking the Skull
As the form beneath the form upon which the unique face of every individual takes shape, the skull remains a distinguishing representation of our human life, but is it more than that which has insured its longevity as a cultural icon over time? What really magnetizes us to the skull again and again in every age and culture? Catacombs, ossuaries and bone houses, once employed as solutions to overcrowded cemeteries and scarce burial space during periods of war and epidemics, can be found all over the world. It is doubtful however, that anyone during their conception would have believed that what was then a functional necessity would centuries later remain places of mass interest. When some seeking a more refined alternative began decorating sacred places of worship and memorial sites with skulls as a way of honoring the deceased, the skull became more than either bone or symbol. Rather than living with memories of painfully destructive ends, skull chapels gave people a space in which they could see the mortal lives of their loved ones culminated in an expression of beauty and harmonized unity. Those searching for strength and meaning in the wake of tragedy continue to find relevance and solace in these skull chapels today, not just as an art of bones, but an art of compassion and respect. What was it in the skulls that inspired an art devoted to the idea that we are each a holy body worthy of reverence? What was it about the skulls that they felt would help purify and heal the imprints left on the psyche from acts of war and mass genocide and perhaps strengthen our will to prevent such atrocities in the future? Why does the skull rise from the subconscious of so many Artists throughout history and take form as a symbol in their works? Why do we increasingly see people drawn to wearing skull images as permanent tattoos or the fashion and jewelry of even the most refined couture collections? Is it only to express our equally shared physical impermanence and the assurance of death?
In Mexico on Dias de Los Muertos, The Day of the Dead, masses adorned with skulls and devotional offerings invoke their ancestral rulers to open the boundary between form and formless, life and death, for a celebratory annual reunion with the spiritual presence of their beloved deceased, who return to meet them through a window of chanting and prayer along paths of votive light and trails of sugar sweets. Ancient Celts are said to have revered skulls as the house of the soul and a portal to divine power which we have limited to the intellect. Maasaw, the Native American Hopi Guardian of the Earth, is described as an immortal skeleton man. The ferocity of his radiant skull head is something that if accepted without fear guarantees entrance to a realm of infinite wisdom and Cosmic Intelligence unfathomed by our finite mind. Empowered subtle beings described in both Hinduism and Buddhism carry skulls and skull cap bowls as symbols of having attained insight into the operations of the void within the self and the universe, and mastered the capacity to transmute obstructive forces, thoughts and afflictions into openings of more infinite intelligence. Their mundamalas or skull necklaces, which may be disturbing to some, are depicted as sacred gems adorning enlightened beings; serving not as symbols of a merciless victory over enemies, but as sources of stored primordial data. In the making of the mundamala, each skull was said to be a vehicle for storing one sound in the Sanskrit alphabet, and together as a vibration of these seed sounds empowered the wearer with access to an ultimate reality. It was said to align the wearer with the Force of causation and the capacity to influence the process of manifestation. These are very similar to the assumptions made by those in possession of ancient crystal skulls today, who propose they may be advanced vehicles for subtle energy storage and the transfer of universally networked intelligence.
In Italy’s Capuchin Monastery catacomb is a well-known inscription, rising up like the last song from a choir of skulls; "We were what you are; and what we are, you will be." It is ordinarily interpreted as confirmation of a long held absolute; that in these bodies we are solely finite, the physical and the non-physical discrete and separate; that we have discovered all of what comprises our human totality and the subtle dimensions of our being remain mysteries illumined only by death. Through SKULL ORACLE’s piercing inner eyes however, we are beckoned toward a new absolute; one that resonates even with the most nonintuitive individual now feeling the palpable change occurring in the world and pressure within the self to transform beyond the perceived limits of the past. The skull has always represented change, and although its closest association has been with the change that occurs in death, SKULL ORACLE refocuses us where there is much yet to be discovered in the polarity between birth and death. It expresses Goudreault’s perception that although we are conditioned to live life linearly, in a progression moving closer to or farther from one of these two poles, neither birth nor death is intended as the greatest change of our human existence and, although they are inevitable physical transitions, they are limiting points of reference in understanding the self. SKULL ORACLE points instead to a transformation of consciousness in life as the purpose and pinnacle of our human experience; a transformation while in these human forms which transcends the physical and activates a more potentiated multidimensional human totality. It interprets the phrase left in the catacombs as a puzzle yet to be solved in life; translating “what we are, you will be” more esoterically than literally as ‘the subtle nature of what we are in death, you will one day understand and integrate in life’. In the light of SKULL ORACLE, it is no longer a calling to one day join the departed in death, but to expand the network of our being in life. It is a prayer that we will no longer wait for death or reincarnation to live as a more universally networked cosmic Intelligence and endeavor to evolve more of the subtle undiscovered totality of the self while embodied here on Earth.
While we continue to covet skulls with equal fear and fascination as an outer symbol of death and an object of unfathomed power, SKULL ORACLE reflects something in the skull that should be much more obvious yet has remained obscured. While it acknowledges the historical essence of the skull and may initially be considered in the context of past interpretations, SKULL ORACLE marks a direction for today that leads us with greater clarity beyond veiled myths and ritualized outer objects, closer to our inner seat of Cosmic Intelligence. Cast and found spontaneously in nature rather than actual human bone, SKULL ORACLE says, “See beyond the bone, it is not the finite object of the skull which empowers, informs and unifies us, or even the brain which it protects, but that more infinite conception which it leads us to; that of a human nature whose essence is not physical or finite, but an innate connectivity to an Energy and Intelligence that is vast and endless.” Unlike other representations of the skull, SKULL ORACLE is not born out of the dichotomy we have made of life and death. It introduces an interface between our surface awareness and a multidimensional human existence, where even in these physical bodies, we can exceed the past limits of our human potential through a universally networked human totality programmed to access and synthesize the infinite upcycle of the Self.
With a quality of enduring radiance and omnipresence, SKULL ORACLE is a symbol of our potential to become embodiments not just of intellect, physical strength, beauty and material success, but the embodiment of a Light by which all will shine with the liberated potentiality of their own finite and infinitely matrixed Nature. It writes a new narrative in which the skull is more than the limits of its historical symbolic context, and the role of the area of the skull in evolving the self is expanded and redefined. It is a narrative which says, “We are not bound and limited to the physical space of a skull cave until death. The skull is a cave of magnified resonance in which we can access and project more empowered frequencies as conscious partners in an evolving dance between the physical and the cosmic and the finite and the infinite. It says, “The openings to see, smell, hear and taste are not the only ‘windows of the skull’1 or of perception, and through the subtle energies networked and culminating in the area of the skull and their influence on refining the mind and activating the brain, we will realize the full potential of our human totality and learn to see and operate in the world as part of a multidimensional universally networked whole.” Rather than a statement of the inevitability of death, or the separation of physical and non-physical dimensions, SKULL ORACLE represents a continuum of human evolution in which there is yet infinite room for expansion, where through our innate capacity to experience a more wholly integrated existence, we can begin to live as more potentiated humans in more harmonized partnership with all humanity and the Earth.
ARTIST’S NOTE: No human or animal died in the making of SKULL ORACLE. What came to light as perfect symbols of skulls, are not from skeletal remains, but organic matter spontaneously sculpted in the forest behind the Artist’s rural NH home, most likely by night foraging deer. The Collection serves as a pure example of cosmic intelligence universally networked in Nature to guide our evolution and point us toward the entrance to the simultaneously vibrating dimensions of our more unlimited reality. To see a human skull is a physical revelation, but to see it manifest as a universal symbol, the representation of a truth pervading all Nature, opens us to consider a much deeper revelation about our human totality and the universally networked context of our existence. It wakes us for a moment from our conditioned view of the world, long enough to think that perhaps we are more like the mundamala than we realize; skulls in a great skull necklace of existence, implanted with the seed sounds of cosmic Intelligence but have yet to login and activate the whole network of our being.
